The paper researches some difficulties that emerge in the production ofseries small-sized betatrons. In particular, disadvantages of electron injectorconstruction and attributed problems are described. Analysis of the results ofmathematical simulation of the dynamics of electrons in the injector of the sealedacceleration vacuum chamber of serial betatrons was carried out. The problemareas were highlighted in the injector of electrons requiring to be improved.

Thin aluminum films were prepared using the method of magnetron sputtering with and without argon ion beam assistance. The influence of argon ion beam on the reflectivity in the UV range and the structure of aluminum films was studied. The structure of the films was studied by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffractometry (XRD) and atomic-force microscope (AFM). The study has shown that the films deposed with the assistance of the argon ion beam have more significant microstresses associated with an increase of crystallites microstructure defects as compared to the films deposed without ion assistance. Comparison of the measured reflectivity of aluminum films deposed without and with the assistance of the ion beam has shown that the films characterized by a higher level of microstructure def ects have increased reflectivity in the UV range. The studies suggest that the defects of thin aluminum films crystal structure influence its optical properties.

The technology for manufacturing of composites based on polymer (epoxy) resins and shungites was developed by using of the electron irradiation and experienced samples with different percentages of the components a) 90 and 10 %, b) 70 and 30 %, c) 50 and 50 %, were manufactured respectively. It was carried out the series of experimental studies of the structure and properties of the obtained materials, including the atomic force microscope images were obtained and Raman spectra of these composites were measured and their analysis was per-formed.

Electrophysical properties of polycrystalline diamond films (PDF), deposited from the abnormal glow discharge, were obtained. The energetic and kinetic characteristics of surface dark and photoconductivity of PDF and their temperature, field and spectral dependences were investigated. Dominant carrier transport mechanisms, their type and the energetic spectrum of localized defect states were established. Current-voltage characteristics, photosensitivity and activation energy are determined by conductivity of PDF, which varies from 10{-14} to 10{-4} S depending on deposition conditions. Vacuum annealing of films up to 600-800 K stabilizes the electrical characteristics. Thermal stability of PDF properties higher than semiconductor films, deposited under nonequilibrium conditions by pulsed laser and ion ablation. PDF films not inferior on properties to films, obtained by alternative CVD methods. Electrical characteristics, mechanism of charge transport of PDF were caused by defects of different nature, the energetic levels of which are continuously distributed on energy in the band gap. Dominant n-type of activation conduction is complemented by hopping mechanism through the localized states distributed near the Fermi level with density 5.6x10{17}-2.1x10{21} eV{-1} cm{-3}. Trapping and recombination centers are heterogeneously distributed on grain boundaries.

Radiation exposure and long running time cause degradation of semiconductors' structures as well as semiconductors based on these structures. Besides, long running time can be the reason of partial radiation defects annealing. The purpose of the research work is to study the "memory effect" that happens during fast neuron radiation in AlGaAs heterostructures. Objects of the research are Infrared Light Emitting Electrodes (IRED) based on doubled AlGaAs heterostructures. During the experimental research LEDs were preliminarily radiated with fast neutrons, and radiation defects were annealed within the condition of current training with high temperatures, then emission power was measured. The research proved the existence of the "memory effect" that results in radiation stability enhancement with subsequent radiation. Possible mechanisms of the "memory effect" occurrence are under review.

Radiation exposure causes degradation of semiconductors' structures as well as different semiconductors based on these structures. The purpose of the research work is to study transitions in AlGaInP heterostructures with multiple quantum wells during fast neutron radiation Objects of the research are 590 nm and 630 nm LEDs based on AlGaInP heterostructures. It is proved that LEDs? radiant power decrease occurs within three periods: during the first period radiant power decrease is caused by radiation stimulated structural adjustment of a primary defect structure; during the second period the decrease is results from radiative defects introduction; with further enhancement of radiation exposure the second period develops into the third period, where LEDs evolves into the mode of electrons low injection into an active region. Empirical relations explain radiant power changes within each period are presented. Region of transitions between the first and the second periods that cause radiant power partial recovery are specified. Transitions occur both directly and indirectly for heterostructures. Potential causes of transitions occurrence are being discussed.

TiN coatings were deposited by DC reactive magnetron sputtering (dcMS) method on Zr1%Nb substrates with different film thickness. The influence of crystalline structure and thickness of the coatings on hydrogen permeation was investigated. The results revealed that the increase in thickness of the film reduced hydrogen permeability. 1.54 [mu]m TiN deposited in N[2]/Ar gas mixture with a ratio of 3/1 reduces hydrogen permeation in more than two orders of magnitude at 350 °С. Adhesion strength decreased with increasing film thickness (0.55 to 2.04 [mu]m) from 7.92 to 6.65 N, respectively. The Ti underlayer applied by arc ion plating (AIP) leads to the formation of stable Ti/TiN coatings on Zr1%Nb under thermocycling conditions up to 800 °С. Meanwhile, hydrogen permeation rate of Ti/TiN deposited by combination of AIP and dcMS remains at the same level with TiN deposited by dcMS.

The results of the study of the pulsed plasma-immersion ion implantation of titanium in steel Cr18Ni10Ti depending on the time (dose) implantation are presented. It is shown that the change of the element and the phase composition of the surface layers and their microscopic characteristics and mechanical properties (hardness, wear resistance) depending on the implantation time is not monotonic, but follows to a certain rule. The possibility of interpretation of the obtained results in the thermal spike concept of the generation on the surface by the stable (magic) clusters is discussed. This concept follows logically from the recent studies on the plasma arc composition and from a polyatomic clusters-surface interaction.

We investigated spectral and kinetic characteristics of the luminescence in alkali halide crystals with polyvalent impurities, crystal phosphors based on metal tungstates in the form of nano-, micro- and bulk crystals. In this work a theoretical research on modes of low-pressure glow discharge generation and its parameters in a large area hollow cathode are carried out. The relations describing the dependence of the burning voltage on the gas pressure and the geometry of the system were obtained. It is shown that it is possible to adjust the ion current density and burning voltage by external current injection independently of the surface area and material of the processed parts. This work also carries out a numerical study of the influence of plasma parameters on the heating of processed parts. Theoretical results are compared with experimental data.

The criterion of the condensed explosive ignition by the electron beam, which takes into account Gaussian distribution of electron density along the beam radius, has been obtained. It has been shown that radial heat removal of the absorbed energy leads to the increase in critical ignition energy if the effective track length of electrons in a solid is commensurate with the beam radius. The critical energy of PETN initiation by the electron beam has been calculated.

The article studies acoustoelectric transformations of concrete with a crack. The research presents three-dimensional modeling and 3D visualization of wave processes in a concrete sample with a surface crack. The parameters of the electrical response are found to reflect the processes of interaction between the acoustic wave front and the defect and boundaries of the sample.

The effect of ion irradiation on the electrical conductivity of low resistance and high resistance subsurface layers of polycrystalline Li-Ti ferrites is studied. Irradiation was carried out with accelerated Ar+ ions with energy E=150 keV and the fluence F=10{16} ions/cm{2}. It is found that exposure of high-resistance ferrites significantly decreases the activation energy E? and considerably increases the electrical conductivity of the surface layers. The effect of the ion beam on the stated low-resistance characteristics of the samples is much weaker. The observed decrease in the numerical values of E[sigma] is due to the decrease in the values of the intergranular potential barrier caused by the exposure. The decrease in the potential barrier difference is due to the decreased degree of the grain boundary oxidation which is caused by preferential desorption of oxygen under the action of the ion beam. The thermal stability of the electrical characteristics of the investigated ferrites subjected to ion radiation-induced modification is determined.

The present work is aimed at investigation of the stability of the GaAsbased Hall sensors (pickups) to irradiation by gamma quanta. The examined objects are the gallium arsenide based Hall sensors manufactured on thin active layers by the methods of vaporphase epitaxy (VPE), molecular beam epitaxy, and ion implantation. Our research methodology involves measurements of the volt-ampere characteristics (VACs) of all sensors for different values of the supply voltage polarity and electron concentration and mobility by the Van-der- Pau method as well as investigations of the noise properties of the sensors before and after irradiation. The sensors are irradiated by gamma quanta of Co{60} at room temperature in the passive mode, that is, without imposition of an electrical bias. As a result of investigations, it is established that a part of the active layer of finite thickness adjoining the substrate plays an important role in the charge carrier transmission process depending on the concentration of deep-level centers in the substrate. Irradiation by high doses leads to degradation of VACs and increase in the spectral density of the sensor noise. Low gamma radiation doses have a stabilization effect on the sensors. Periodic relaxation processes are observed for a part of the structures manufactured by the VPE method. The assumption is made that they can be caused by the deep-level centersin GaAs.

The research presents a new method for determination of concrete damage under cyclic freezethawing by the parameters of the electrical response under impact excitation. It is established that the attenuation coefficient of the energy of the electrical responses under impact excitation can be used as a diagnostic criterion for crack process determination. A higher accuracy of evaluation of crack processes by the parameters of the electrical signal in comparison with the acoustic method is shown.

Regularities of changes of structural-phase state and mechanical properties of steel 13Mo2NbVB - the material of the fuel assembly shell in reactor BN-350 after various mechanical tests at 350°C are experimentally studied. The formation of microprecipitations FeMo, enriched or depleted with molybdenum was found in the short-time mechanical tests, which is the cause of thermal hardening of irradiated Cr13Mo2NbVB steel and its destruction by the ductile-brittle mechanism. On the basis of long-time creep tests it was shown that the material of the spent fuel assembly shell has sufficient resource for long-time storage in the temperature and force conditions simulating long-time storage of spent nuclear fuel.

Investigations of a foam glass-ceramic material synthesized from raw siliceous earth material by the two-stage method at temperatures below 950°С have demonstrated the improvement of its physic mechanical properties in comparison with foam glass synthesized from glass cullet. This material actively interacts with microwaves and can be used for the development of protective screens reducing the adverse effect of microwaves on biological objects, anechoic chambers, and rooms with low level of electromagnetic background noise. Spectra of the transmission and absorption coefficients and of the complex dielectric permittivity for frequencies in the range 26-260 GHz are presented. The observed effects demonstrate the existence of regions with partial and total reflection arising on the glass-pore boundary and of the microwave interaction with ultradisperse carbon particles that remain after foaming with incomplete frothier transition from the soot to the gas phase.

The paper suggested in the context of the general mathematical model of forest fires [1] gives a new mathematical setting and method of numerical solution of a problem of a radioactive spread above the forest region. Numerical solution of problems of radioactive smoke spread during crown fire in exemplified heat energy release in the forest fire front was found. Heat energy release in the forest fire front was found to cause further radioactive particles spread by the action of wind. In the absence of wind, radioactive smoke particles deposit again on the underlying surface after a time. As a wind velocity increases, these particles are transferred in the ground layer over distances proportional to a wind velocity.

A method of calculation of interatomic interaction potentials in the presence of ionized states has been developed. They have been obtained for the atoms with different ionization degree on example of aluminum. The Heine-Abarenkov-Animalu model potential form factors was employed. The form factor parameters of ionized atoms was determined on the base of the quantum defect method using the atomic-spectroscopy data. The potential of interatomic interaction for different charged states with different degree of ionization were determined.

The consistent patterns of changes in structural and phase state, hardening and temperature ranges of martensitic transformations in Ni-Ti alloy with the shape memory effect after implantation of heavy ions 16O3+, 40Ar8+ and 84Kr15+ under comparable parameters have been experimentally studied. It is found that under the impact of 84Kr15+ ions, a two-layer surface structure with radiation-hardened second layer is formed, radiation-stimulated phase transformation B19'>B2 occurs in the near-surface layer and out-range area, and the martensitic transformation temperature increases toward higher values after implantation of 40Ar8+ and 84Kr15+ ions.

The paper describes the results of studies of electromagnetic response parameters of samples of bearing strata and ore rocks from the Tashtagol mine on acoustic effects. Patterns of changes in amplitude-frequency parameters of electromagnetic signals for rock samples with different content of magnetite are experimentally found. The conducted research shows that the maximum amplitudes of electromagnetic signal spectral components increases in samples of the same mineral composition with the reduction of their ultimate strength. This is caused by heterogeneities, and defective areas which contribute to active transformation of mechanical energy into electromagnetic energy. For rocks, which contain magnetite, the emissivity depends not only on heterogeneities and defective areas, but on the quantity of high-conductivity minerals in their composition.

Experimental results of physicochemical and sorption properties of material samples obtained by electro-spark dispersion in water and by conductor electric explosion in argon are shown in the paper. Due to comparison of investigated samples sorption activity under static conditions, it was able to determine the most effective samples in the process of extraction of Cu{2+} ions from aqueous solutions.

Theoretical and experimental research of electrical responses under pulsed mechanical excitation of different size concrete products was carried out. Comparison of calculated and experimental data shows very close agreement. The obtained results will help to develop new opportunities to improve the method of non-destructive testing of concrete by creating a bank of calculated electrical responses from products of different geometrical arrangement and elastic response and using them as standard samples for defectiveness evaluation of products according to previously established criteria.

We have studied the electromagnetic emission from samples of epoxy resin filled with sand subjected to uniaxial compression . Capacitive sensor measures the electrical component of the response when excited electromagnetic emission of ultrasonic pulse using a differential amplifier. It was shown the influence of the load on the spectral signal characteristics: with increasing pressure, the formation of bands at frequencies corresponding to possibly quasi-Rayleigh waves generation. It is concluded that the use of the experimental geometry studies the main contribution to the response of electromagnetic emissions create born normal vibrations, which are damped standing waves.

Changing the properties of metals under conditions of exposure to ionizing radiation

The equation state for metals were provided on the basis of the pseudopotential method when part of the ionic cores further ionized. The isotherms were obtained for different degrees of the atoms ionization on the example of aluminium. The change in the physical properties of metals were analyzed under conditions of excitation by ionizing radiation of the electron subsystem. The interatomic interaction potentials were calculated for the case of a local increase concentration of conduction electrons.

The separation process of methane-butane fraction from natural gas before transport

A series of experiments of adsorption of vapor-air mixtures of some individual hydrocarbons on fibrous sorbents out of polyethylene and polypropylene is made. The calculated changes of concentrations of hydrocarbons in the vapor-air mixture base on experimental data. It is shown that concentration of hydrocarbons decreases after column by 1.4 times and that sorption capacity of fibers reaches 1 g of hydrocarbons on 1 g of a fibrous sorbent. This result was assumed as a basis of calculation of model of the separator for separation of hydrocarbons С[1-4] from water and fractions С[5-n], the degree of separation of the first stage gas of the Verkhne - Tarskoe's field was 98 %.

In the research, Si-HA poweders have been synthesized using SBF solution with different content of silicon. It was found that all the samples synthesized from the model solution of extracellular fluid under varying concentration of silicate ions are single-phase and repesent hydroxyapatite. The nature of the reagent containing SiO[44]- ions does not affect the hydroxyapatite structure. In the study of the surface and morphological characteristics of the phosphate coatings modified by silicon ions, it was found that as the degree of phosphate calcium substitution by SiO[44]- ions increases, the surface wettability on the titanium substrates deteriorates and cohesive energy decreases. It is shown that the titanium coating is formed in three stages. After irradiation of titanium substrates coated with Si-HA, the crystals can keep growing and the surface can keep regenerating.

The paper presents the results of experimental studies of massive sulfide catalysts by simultaneous thermal analysis and mass spectrometry. It is found that the STA/MS methods are quite informative for testing the catalyst systems based on MoS2 and are useful in identification of the reference features that could be used to predict their activity. It is also shown that the defect structure of molybdenum disulfide formed during mechanical activation is reflected on the DSC curves.

In this paper we analyze the ignition of wood samples subjected to the decreasing heat flow. The experimental setup was created on the base of the optical wave "Uran-1". The intensity of the heat flow was changed during the experiment by moving the test sample along the optical axis of the elliptic reflector in the setup. Pine wood was used as the test samples. We received the delay times for ignition of pine wood during heating by the decreasing heat flow. The received data were compared with the data for a static heat flow.

Copper nanopowders after storage under natural conditions can oxidize and change their properties. In this work, the phase composition, morphology and thermal properties of copper nanopowders after natural aging of 10 years were studied. The copper nanopowders were produced by the method of electrical explosion of wires in different gaseous ambient: argon and carbon dioxide. The nanopowders were characterized by X-ray diffraction, thermal analysis, scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The content of copper oxides phases was found to be increased in comparison with freshly synthesized powders. This transformation results in the change of the thermal characteristics of the nanopowders. The effect of the synthesis conditions on the composition and thermal characteristics was shown.

Data on granulometric composition of calcium phosphate obtained by dispersion method

The kinetics of calcium phosphate crystallization from model solutions of saliva and liquid phase of dental plaque has been studied by the dispersion method. It was found that the composition of the saliva model system is favorable for the growth of larger crystals. The size of the particles in crystallization varies nonlinearly. As supersaturation grows, the amount of formed particles increases, however, the average rate of crystallite growth decreases.

The paper describes the main aspects of ultrasonic non-destructive inspection of casks with spent fuel. Digital Focus Array technique is proposed for acoustic imaging of spent nuclear fuel casks' closure weld. Scientific and engineering basics and imaging algorithms of this technique are discussed. The paper outlines some issues related to optical sensors based on the diffraction method which are used as a part of the devices to control the outer diameter and eccentricity of a single-core electric cable. The conversion function which allows calculation of the diameter of cylindrical objects regardless of their position in the tested area is considered. The calculations are based on the diffraction method to detect shadow boundaries of the object in two-dimensional optical sensors that use a divergent laser beam. The obtained results can be used to develop precise optical instruments to control the outer diameter and eccentricity of the object in a cable industry.

The paper reports on the adsorption of iron colloid substances on activated carbon (PAC) Norit SA UF with using ultrasound. It is found that time of adsorption is equal to three hours. High-frequency electrical oscillation is 35 kHz. The adsorption capacity of activated carbon was determined and it is equal to about 0.25 mg iron colloid substances /mg PAC. The iron colloid substances size ranging from 30 to 360 nm was determined. The zeta potential of iron colloid substances which consists of iron (III) hydroxide, silicon compounds and natura organic substances is about (-38mV). The process of destruction iron colloid substances occurs with subsequent formation of a precipitate in the form of Fe(OH)[3] as a result of the removal of organic substances from the model solution.

The paper reports on the study of mechanism of electroeffects on iron and aluminum and pellets with using solutions of organic substances. Methylene blue solution, furacilin and eosin were used. It is observed the reactions of the pulse at the time and after switching off the voltage source. It is shown that there are two developing process in the conditions studied. The first process depends on material of electrodes and pulse parameters. The second process occurs spontaneously and it is determined by the redox reaction and sorption processes. The products of electrode erosion and active particles react in the redox reactions. Active particles are formed in solution by the action of pulsed electric discharge in water. The highest efficiency of the process was demonstrated on an iron pellets.

The effect of the method of aluminum nanopowder production on the aluminum products with water reaction is described. It has been established that the interaction of aluminum nanopowder prepared by the electric wire explosion, the phase composition of the reaction products mainly consists of boehmite (AlOOH) and has a fibrous structure. Therefore, that boehmite (AlOOH) can be used for modification of polymer membranes. The modified membranes can be used as water treatment from the impurity of formed true solutions according to adsorptive mechanism, and from colloidal nanometer and micron particles according to the mechanism of mechanical separation of particles depending on sizes.

Dynamics of thermally activated motion of dislocations in real time were studied by recording the pulses of electrical potential on the surface of the KBr crystals (in situ). We have reported earlier about the modification of ion-exchange hydrogel under the influence of gamma radiation. The optimal absorbed dose of irradiation had been choosen for radiation modification of polymer hydrogels by ionits to produce products with a high content of the gel - fractions and sufficient mechanical properties. The dependence of the static exchange capacity of hydrogels on the type of ionit and its fractional composition had been studied. The dependence of the static exchange capacity of the quantitative composition of the ionit in the volume of the hydrogel had been investigated. The ion-exchange medical eye lenses had been made under selected conditions of synthesis. Their sorption properties had been studied.

The paper describes usability of ultrasonic case hardening depth control applying standard instrument of ultrasonic inspections. The ultrasonic method of measuring the depth of the hardened layer is proposed. Experimental series within the specified and multifunctional ultrasonic equipment are performed. The obtained results are compared with the results of a referent method of analysis.

We examined the effect of nitrogen, oxygen and argon plasma on the diffusion-controlled oxidation-reduction processes in lithium-titanium-zinc ferrite ceramics by measuring the activation energy of electrical conductivity in the depth of the sample. The experimental results show that the high-temperature treatment in polycrystalline ferrites by nitrogen or argon ion plasma greatly accelerates the oxidation-reduction processes in ferrites and changes the process direction depending on the partial pressure of oxygen.

A set of the mathematical formulas to estimate the accuracy of discrimination parameters for two implementations of the dual high energy method - by the effective atomic number and by the level lines is given. The hardware parameters which influenced on the accuracy of the discrimination parameters are stated. The recommendations to form the structure of the high energy X-ray radiation impulses are formulated. To prove the applicability of the proposed procedure there were calculated the statistical errors of the discrimination parameters for the cargo inspection system of the Tomsk polytechnic university on base of the portable betatron MIB-9. The comparison of the experimental estimations and the theoretical ones of the discrimination parameter errors was carried out. It proved the practical applicability of the algorithm to estimate the discrimination parameter errors for the dual high energy method.

Thermal shock removal of defective glass-enamel coating from cast-iron products

A setup for light beam exposure has been developed. The setup was used to consider the technology of thermal shock destruction of the coating by pulsed-periodic exposure to powerful focused light from the xenon arc lamp DKsShRB-10000. It is shown that this type of exposure can effectively remove the glass-enamel coating from iron products. The optimal mode of setup operation to efficiently remove the defective glass-enamel coating is found: the diameter of the focused light beams is 2.5-3.5 cm; the lamp arc pulse current is 350-450 A; pulse duration is (0.5-1) s and pulse repetition frequency is (0.15-0.5) s-1.

Low velocity impact is a frequently observed event during the operation of an aircraft composite structure. This type of damage is aptly called as "blind-side impact damage" as it is barely visible as a dent on the impacted surface, but may produce extended delaminations closer to the rear surface. One-sided thermal nondestructive testing is considered as a promising technique for detecting impact damage but because of diffusive nature of optical thermal signals there is drop in detectability of deeper subsurface defects. Ultrasonic Infrared thermography is a potentially attractive nondestructive evaluation technique used to detect the defects through observation of vibration-induced heat generation. Evaluation of the energy released by such defects is a challenging task. In this study, the thin delaminations caused by impact damage in composites and which are subjected to ultrasonic excitation are considered as local heat sources. The actual impact damage in a carbon epoxy composite which was detected by applying a magnetostrictive ultrasonic device is then modeled as a pyramid-like defect with a set of delaminations acting as an air-filled heat sources. The temperature rise expected on the surface of the specimen was achieved by varying energy contribution from each delamination through trial and error. Finally, by comparing the experimental temperature elevations in defective area with the results of temperature simulations, we estimated the energy generated by each defect and defect power of impact damage as a whole. The results show good correlation between simulations and measurements, thus validating the simulation approach.

The rapid growth of a population in a country can contribute to high production of waste. Municipal waste and industrial waste can bring unhealthy and unpleasant environment or even diseases to human beings if the wastes are not managed properly. With increasing concerns over waste and the need for 'greener' products, it is necessary to carry out Life Cycle Assessments of products and this will help manufacturers take the first steps towards greener designs by assessing their product's carbon output. Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is a process to evaluate the environmental burdens associated with a product, process or activity by identifying and quantifying energy and materials used and wastes released to the environment, and to assess the impact of those energy and material used and released to the environment. The aim of the study was to use a life cycle assessment approach to determine which waste disposal options that will substantially reduce the environmental burdens posed by the Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) bottle. Several important observations can be made. 1)Recycling of the PET bottle waste can significantly reduce the energy requiredacross the life cycle because the high energy inputs needed to process the requisite virgin materials greatly exceeds the energy needs of the recycling process steps. 2)Greenhouse gases can be reduced by opting for recycling instead of landfilling andincineration. 3)Quantity of waste emissions released from different disposal options was identified. 4)Recycling is the environmentally preferable disposal method for the PET bottle. Industry can use the tools and data in this study to evaluate the health, environmental, and energy implications of the PET bottle. LCA intends to aid decision-makers in this respect, provided that the scientific underpinning is available. Strategic incentives for product development and life cycle management can then be developed.

The article proposes a new earthquake-resistant technology of low-rise building with increased energy efficiency and long-life operation. The proposed solution allows to build low-rise buildings with increased resistance to natural and man-made disasters. The building is frame (made of tube-concrete) and also completely monolithic, where foundation, all walls, floors and roof are filled of polystirolconcrete (composed of concrete and polystyrene), which forms a monolithic construction.

Depth profiles of magnesium, fluorine and oxygen impurities was examined in the surface layers of alkali-halide KBr crystals using method of secondary ion mass spectrometry. Samples of potassium bromide, coated with a surface film of magnesium fluoride were subjected to isothermal diffusion annealing in air at various times. It is shown that the diffusion of O ions occurs from the ambient atmosphere besides the diffusion of Mg and F ions during annealing of KBr crystals. Accurate estimation of the diffusion coefficients of cationic impurity Mg requires taking into account the possible interaction of this impurity and oxygen.

The paper discusses the results of the research into the formation of ion-plasma multiphase coatings. The types of the formed structures are found to be not so diverse, as those formed, for example, in alloy crystallization. The structures observed are basically of globular type and, more rarely, of unclosed dissipative and cellular structures. It is shown that the properties of the coating formed in deposition are largely determined by its surface energy or surface tension. Since the magnitude of the surface tension (surface energy) in most cases is an additive quantity, each of the elements of the coating composition contributes to the total surface energy. In case of simultaneous sputtering of multiphase cathodes, high entropy coatings with an ordered cellular structure and improved mechanical properties are formed.

The paper describes modern ways for selection of anti-radical substances. Molding of such components with a carbon-based material decreases the rate of its oxidative destruction. Addition of such a component to a carbon-based material decreases the rate of its oxidative destruction. The purpose of this study is to determine the antioxidant activity of ascorbates metals (Ca, Mg, Li, Co, Fe), used in the practice of medicine, as well as mixtures based on them together with well-known antioxidants. In this article we examine the effect of metals on the process of ascorbate oxygen electroreduction. From these ascorbates lithium and magnesium ascorbate showed the greatest activity toward cathode oxygen reduction process. Also mixtures with well-known examined antioxidants ascorbate (glucose, dihydroquercetin) were investigated at different concentrations of components. It is shown that the multicomponent mixtures exhibit lower activity than the individual drugs. Recommended the creation of drugs on the basis of ascorbate Mg and Li with not more than 3 number of components.

Preclinical animal acute toxicity studies of new developed MRI contrast agent based on gadolinium

Acute toxicity test of new developed MRI contrast agent based on disodium salt of gadopentetic acid complex were carried out on Mus musculus and Sprague Dawley rats according to guidelines of preclinical studies [1]. Groups of six animals each were selected for experiment. Death and clinical symptoms of animals were recorded during 14 days. As a result the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) for female mice is 2.8 mМ/kg of body weight, male mice - 1.4 mМ/kg, female rats - 2.8 mМ/kg, male rats - 5.6 mМ/kg of body weight. No Observed Adverse Effect Dose (NOAEL) for female mice is 1.4 mМ/kg, male mice - 0.7 mМ/kg, male and female rats - 0.7 mМ/kg. According to experimental data new developed MRI contrast agent based on Gd-DTPA complex is low-toxic.

In this work the possibility of simultaneous spectrophotometric determination of chromium (VI) and iron (III) in alloys with help of the mixed organic reagents (diphenylcarbazide and 1,10-phenanthroline, diphenylcarbazide and sulphosalicylic acid) is studied. We have applied curve fitting method to separate individual signals of chromium (VI) and iron (III) from overlapped absorption spectrum. Peak shape analysis of pure signals of complexes of chromium (VI) with diphenylcarbazide and iron (III) with the 1,10-phenanthroline and sulphosalicylic acid is previously carried out. For adequate application of curve fitting method we chose the optimal empirical models of signals taking into account preliminary information on their shape. Correctness of determination of concentration by means of the offered technique is proved by "added-found" method for a series of mixtures with different ratios of concentration of chromium (VI) and iron (III). It is founded that the error of determination of concentration doesn't exceed 11%.

In the article test equipment is described for corona resistance testing of enameled winding wire samples. The primary element of equipment is generator producing test voltage with necessary waveform and magnitude according to the required PWM. Test conditions are accurately simulated by operational loads on a winding insulation (simultaneous impact of temperature and corona discharges). Obtained results of average time to breakdown show that the enamel insulation modified by silicon nanoparticles has a maximum corona resistance.

The paper discusses the results of the research in the effect of ion irradiation on tribological properties of multiphase ion-plasma coatings. It is shown that all the investigated coatings behave differently under ion irradiation: the Zn-Al, Fe-Al, Zn-Cu-Al coating is radiation-resistant and the friction coefficient does not virtually change; the Cr-Mn-Si-Cu-Fe- Al coating exhibits twofold increase in the friction coefficient, and that for Mn-Fe-Cu-Al coating decreases threefold. These changes are related to changes which occur in the coating surface under ion bombardment.

The thermal properties of epoxy composites filled with boric acid fine powder at different percentage were studied. Epoxy composites were prepared using epoxy resin ED-20, boric acid as flame-retardant filler, hexamethylenediamine as a curing agent. The prepared samples and starting materials were examined using methods of thermal analysis, scanning electron microscopy and infrared spectroscopy. It was found that the incorporation of boric acid fine powder enhances the thermal stability of epoxy composites.

The aim of the research was to determine the effect of temperature on mechanical properties of a micromechanical gyroscope with the sensing element mounted on a silicon wafer, with the crystallographic orientation of (100) (110) (111). The research is of current relevancy since the metrological characteristics that depend on the eigenfrequencies over the full temperature range are to be controlled. The temperature-modal analysis of the micromechanical gyroscope model was performed with ANSYS program. The temperature dependence for eigenfrequencies was obtained. The dependence of the scale factor on temperature for the most temperature-independent variant of sensor positioning on the wafer was determined. The developed mathematical model was used to find the forms of the output oscillations of the gyroscope.

Based on previous studies, the main factors which influence photovoltaic module under natural conditions were determined, In terms of hardware factors created the monitoring system prototype of photovoltaic module electrical parameters. Next, the system was upgraded and expanded by taking into account the meteorological data. The operating system results were available on the internet and presented in the article. The data analysed the efficiency of photovoltaic modules in Tomsk based on operating results of the monitoring system prototype. Finally, a conclusion was made about application efficiency of photovoltaic modules .

Fundamental research challenge of structural integrity and construction resistance while interacting with fluid or gas is of high importance when estimating their efficiency and lifetime. The paper presents the simulation results of interaction between incompressible ideal fluid and an escarpment at the bottom, and interaction between viscous incompressible fluid and an obstacle above fluid surface. Flow patterns at different times and chronograms of hydrodynamic loads on solid walls of computational domain, horizontal and vertical obstacles are displayed.

Remote detection of corrosion in metals is a developing application area of active thermal nondestructive testing. In this study, emphasis is made on the optimization of heating techniques that is of a major interest in practical surveys. Some popular data processing techniques, such as Fourier transform, correlation and principal component analysis, are also quantitatively compared in application to corrosion detection in 1-2 mm thick steel by applying a criterion of signal-to-noise ratio. The best inspection results have been obtained by using powerful halogen lamps and air blowers. Material loss of about 25 % with lateral dimensions greater than 10x10 mm can be reliably identified in practical tests. The use of Xenon flash tubes is inefficient because of significant steel thickness. LED panels have not provided expected results due to low absorption of LED quasi-monochromatic radiation.

In the article the new method for detection of the temporary position of the received echo signal is considered. The method consists in successive emission of sounded impulses on two frequencies and also the current study is concerned with the analysis of ultrasound fluctuation propagation time to and from the deflector on every frequency. The detailed description of the mathematical tool is presented in the article. The math tool used allows the authors to decrease the measurement error with help of calculations needed.

The influence of heating rate on solid-phase interaction in Li[2]CO[3]-Fe[2]O[3] reaction mixture was investigated by thermal analysis method. The powder mixture components were in the ratio corresponding to LiFe[5]O[8] ferrite. The ferrite synthesis was performed by thermal heating of mixture reagents in thermal analyzer up to 800 °С in air at various heating rates in the ranges (5-50) °С/min. The results showed that the heating rate affects the solid-phase interaction in Li[2]CO[3] - Fe[2]O[3] reaction mixture. The reaction phase formation is accompanied by heat endothermic effect, which was observed in the DSC curve in the form of a complex broad peak. For all samples, this complex peaks were decomposed into simpler peaks, and thereby, the enthalpies of the individual phase transitions were determined. It was shown that the heating rate affects the values of enthalpy and temperatures of heat endothermic effects, so that the high heating rate shifts the proceeding of reaction to higher temperatures.

The paper considers the techniques for continuous monitoring of samples and rocks destruction using the parameters of the measured electromagnetic signals which are generated in the destructive processes. The block diagram of the recorder is presented and the methods for processing of the measured electromagnetic signals to monitor and predict the geodynamic processes in rocks or the destruction of dielectric materials under electromagnetic interference. A phase modeling of the method to extract a useful signal from the background noise and electromagnetic interference has been implemented.

Synthesis of hydroxyapatite in the system Ca(NO3)2-Me(NO3)2-NaHPO4-H2O with pH in the range of 6-12.2 is performed, and hydroxyapatite of B-type is formed. The effect of magnesium, zinc and cadmium ions on the properties of hydroxyapatite is studied. It is shown that as the concentration of these ions increases, the crystallinity of hydroxyapatite and the Ca/P ratio decreases. It is found that in all the experiments Zn2+ cations affect the hydroxyapatite structure to a lesser extent which results in less structural defects, wherein the Ca/P ratio attains the highest values. It is shown that the solubility of the samples containing zinc ions is greater than that of the samples with other additives.

In recent years, oil and gas exploration are increasingly turning to direct methods to identify accumulations of hydrocarbons (magnetometry, radiometry, geochemical methods, etc.). Similar works are tested high in the Tomsk region, near the Ob basin. In this paper we present some results of testing of geological and genetic models and radiogeochemical occurrence of hydrocarbons in relation to various oil and gas complexes, with the development of neural network methods of analysis and forecasting, formulated proposals for their integrated use.

Thermodynamic opportunities of course of chemical reactions of decomposition of the vapors of ethyl alcohol necessary at development of devices where these reactions will take place are considered. The entalpiyny method of calculation of constants of balance of probable chemical reactions is given in the Excel editor. Independent reactions of process of oxidation are defined. By result of thermodynamic calculation of each reaction schedules of dependence of a constant of balance on environment temperature from which follows are constructed that one reactions proceed until the end of aside formation of the final products, and others are improbable or impossible. The analysis of the received results shows that reactions of oxidation will successfully proceed in the established directions, and for an intensification of process of decomposition it is necessary to provide a supply of some energy which quantity will be sufficient for oxidation of vapors of ethyl alcohol. Results of calculations showed good convergence with programs of thermodynamic calculations like "Aster-4" and "TERRA".

The article shows the methods of constructing autonomous decentralized energy systems from solar modules. It shows the operation of up DC inverter. It demonstrates the effectiveness of DC inverters with varying structure. The system has high efficiency and low level of conductive impulse noise and at the same time the system is practically feasible. Electrical processes have been analyzed to determine the characteristics of operating modes of the main circuit elements. Recommendations on using the converters have been given.

Recommendations for strengthening the brake construction in accident dangerous areas of fatigue destruction were developed. Computer modeling was made using the ANSYS program that helps to visualize stained condition of the construction for further practical testing of the strength and reliability improving technology of mining elevating machines' constructions, which are being in a long-term use, with a help of the strengthening elements. A way of construction strengthening, which eliminates the possibility of further fatigue destruction of the brake system elements, because of the load cycle in exploitation process .

The theory of electromagnetic radiation dispersion by polydisperse particles is analyzed. Methods of reliable optical indication of smokes to identify Fire Danger are considered. The conventional method of optical smoke detection implies measuring optical characteristics of the environment under control. After that the results obtained are converted into microphysical parameters which can be compared to the known microphysical properties of smokes. The calculated optical portrait of smokes is offered. The portrait of smokes is the field of representation points in coordinates of the degree of diffusion radiation polarization for two diffusion angles. Each of the spots indicates one of the numerous realizations of smokes. The direct match of the representation spots in the optical increases the probability of smoke A different way to protect optical system is to use the device with mutually orthogonal polarizers of the light source and detector. If hindrance is nonspherical aerosol, the signal from the device is used to correct the signals from smoke detectors.

In the present work a model of light scattering is shown which explains the result about effect of particle size on the diffuse reflection coefficient of initial titanium dioxide powders. The diffuse reflection coefficient depending on particle size for TiO2 pigment varies on the curve with maximum. The experimental results and the model can be used for technology development of manufacturing pigment for light-reflecting temperature-control coatings of spacecraft.

The paper presents the results of study of single-pass amplified radiation distribution of copper bromide vapor laser active elements used in high-speed laser monitors. The possibility of modifying the profile of a single-pass amplified light beam by changing the copper bromide vapor concentration is demonstrated. This means of influence on the radiation profile seems to be easiest due to implementation by varying only one parameter of operation. Gaussian, ring-shaped or flat profiles can be achieved depending on the temperature of the containers with copper bromide. The diameter of the beam becomes narrower when increasing the concentration of copper bromide vapor. This feature is characteristic of the discharge tubes as small (diameter 2.5, length 5 cm) and large (diameter 5 cm, length 90 cm) active volume.

Ultrasound wave propagation in bounded media results in change of the echo-pulse shape, therefore the use of traditional method of determining of the propagation time of the ultrasound pulse based on use of threshold device (comparator) gives a large error of measurement. To reduce this error the new methods of the determining of echo-pulse propagation time are proposed in this paper. The first method is the method based on the use of two comparators, the second one is the method based on second-order polynomial approximation of the echo-pulse envelope. Analysis showed that the steeper the rising edge of the echo-pulse envelope, the less the error of determining of the pulse start time. The more the difference between comparator thresholds the less the error of determining of the pulse start time. Application of the method of two comparators gives two times systematic error reducing. Minimal sampling of input signal is determined for the method based on echo-pulse envelope. Dependence of the error at start echo-pulse determining on adjacent samples amplitude ratio is obtained. Application of echo-pulse envelope gives three times systematic error reducing.

Loop-shaped dependences of the electric polarization on the electric field strength (the dielectric hysteresis) are registered for the first time for polycrystalline Li-Ti ferrite. Temperature evolution of the hysteresis loop parameters is investigated for ferrite samples. A thermal Barkhausen effect is detected during heating and cooling of ferrite specimens prepolarized in an electric field. The results obtained can be interpreted from the viewpoint of the Maxwell-Wagner relaxation polarization or induced ferroelectric-like state in the electric ferrite subsystem.

В работе представлены клинические особенности здоровья детей, проживающих в радиационно-химическом следе через 22 года после аварии на СХК. Обследовано 36 детей педиатром, инфекционистом, эндокринологом, психоневрологом. Большинство детей были отнесены к 3 группе здоровья. Преобладали следующие заболевания: гипотиреоз, аутоиммунный тиреоидит, нарушение питания, низкорослость, вирусные инфекции, синдром гиперактивности с дефицитом внимания, хронические гастродуодениты, холециститы, тонзиллиты, остеохондрозы с нарушением осанки. Микроэлементы волос их родителей имели отклонения от нормы.
