Abstract

The paper dwells on the problem of arranging teaching foreign language for specific purposes for engineering students based on the technologies of electronic and blended learning. The objective of implementing such technologies is to optimize the process of competence development for professionallyoriented foreign language communication. The author defines such notions as an engineer, electronic and blended learning; describes the components of blended learning model, the principles that underpin the process of teaching foreign language for specific purposes for engineering students on the basis of blended learning model and an electronic learning resource EAP ToolKit.
