Abstract: A method was developed for the automated calculation of the safe electrical load on spiral bulbs warmed by capacitors for the multiple start-ups of open gas generators under water. An energy criterion was proposed that would, for spiral bulbs with known dimensions and thermal properties, allow the selection of the type of pulsed power supply providing wire heating required for dibasic solid fuel (DSF) ignition, and maintaining its operative state.
