Abstract:	The article discusses the problem of providing the population of any country affordable and comfortable housing is key in ensuring sustainable economic development. The author has been compiled a statistical analysis of the need for housing renovation in the Tomsk region. The high capital investment projects in this field it seems necessary to look for new sources of funding, as well as pre-assess their effectiveness.
