| Abstract: | The obtained data on the thorium and uranium content in 63 samples of poplar leaves and 80 hair samples of healthy Simferopol inhabitants indicate a relatively stable situation. At the same time, abnormal concentrations of both elements were revealed in Zheleznodorozhny, Kievsky, and Central districts. Th/U ratios in poplar leaf samples varied from 0.1 to 61.2 with an average value of 5.7, which indicates high elements content in some locations of both natural and non-technogenic origin. Overall, the results made it possible to classify Simferopol as a city with thorium accumulation. |
