Abstract: | The article focuses on the problems of the video games adaptation from one language to another, which is called localization and considers the peculiarities of the localization of such aspects of video games as the game title, the wordplay, direct addressing, context dependence, slang usage and some cultural features. The analysis is based on the series of actionadventure «Uncharted» video game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the Playstation consoles [1]. |
