Abstract: The encoder alignment dictates the resulting direction, speed and torque of the motor at any current. In this paper, an adaptive encoder alignment method and its results are presented. The proposed method achieves high torque at low rotational speeds and allows high rotational speeds simulating the effects of field-weakening techniques
