Abstract: The paper considers a standalone model based on the mathematical relations between various parameters in a photovoltaic (PV) module made up of a single diode, series resistance, and a shunt resistance. The effect of solar radiation and temperature on I-V and P-V characteristics of the PV module has been studied. Matlab/Simulink software package has been used for PV module modelling. The results obtained are analysed and presented in the paper.
