Abstract

While studying landscape features, a large amount of semi-structured spatial and ecological data is being constantly accumulated. Hence, there is the need in a common information space integrating this information and an information system providing a wide range of functional capabilities to specialists in Vegetation Science and Landscape Ecology. The paper focuses on the discussions of database and information system development via present-day tools and approaches for solving scientific and applied tasks using Google Earth and Google Maps.
