Abstract: A change in the age structure of the population due to a decrease in the birth rate and an increase in life expectancy is considered. The influence of demographic aging on economic growth rates from the point of view of labor market supply and changes in the total amount of effective demand is considered. A decrease in the welfare of society due to the introduction of increased taxes to eliminate the deficit of state systems of medical and pension insurance and ways to solve this problem is considered. Social and agerelated changes in the electoral electorate and their changes in the decisions made are discussed. The discussion of changing the nature of jobs and changing the quality of the workforce in terms of the preferences of entrepreneurs was discussed. The influence of the pension system on the motivation of people to stop working earlier is discussed.
