Феноменология «термина» в контексте отечественной и западной терминологических традиций: междисциплинарный подход

Abstract

Актуальность исследования обусловлена большой степенью неопределенности в отношении феномена «термин» и существующих интерпретаций. Автор рассматривает его сущность и значение сквозь призму отечественной и западной традиций (на примере коммуникативной теории Марии Терезы Кабре). Представлены трактовки «термина», сформулированные в рамках обозначенных подходов. Сложность обозначения такого феномена заключается в его многогранности. При анализе «термина» требуется подход, при котором принимаются во внимание не только его лингвистические характеристики, но и его философские измерения, выраженные через его онтологический, эпистемологический и аксиологический аспекты. Коммуникативный подход используется для уточнения всевозрастающей вариативности наполнения «термина» с учетом социального, когнитивного, коммуникативного и междисциплинарного аспектов. Краткий экскурс в терминологическую деятельность позволяет осознать сложность рассматриваемого определения. Цель - на основе представленных подходов выявить наиболее значимые аспекты феномена «термин» в его философском измерении. Методы: междисциплинарный поход, который включает комбинацию социолингвистического подхода, компаративного и дефиниционного анализа. Использование социолингвистического подхода обусловлено тем, что качественное наполнение «термина» прямо пропорционально зависит от социальной востребованности, а социолингвистический подход позволяет показать взаимосвязь лингвистической и социальной составляющих термина. Метод компаративного анализа литературы по теме применяется с возможностью проведения сравнения представленных терминологических традиций, метод дефиниционного анализа позволяет описать характеристики и требования, предъявляемые к объекту исследования. Результаты. Приводятся наиболее распространенные интерпретации феномена «термин» согласно отечественной и западной терминологическим традициям, а также выявлены особенности эволюции представлений о дефиниции термина в коммуникативной теории Кабре, представлено обоснование его многогранности.

The relevance of the topic is determined by a high degree of uncertainty in respect to the meaning and definitions of the «term». The author considers its essence and meaning through the prism of domestic and foreign tradition (on the example of the communicative theory of Maria Teresa Cabré). The linguistic approach is considered as a key thing to understand the evolution of «term» under the pressure of social, cognitive, communicative and interdisciplinary changes. The communicative method is used to show which way social, cognitive, communicative and interdisciplinary aspects are important in understanding such phenomena as «term». In the article the explicit preferences of the communicative approach of the term’s study in comparison with the traditional linguistic one are pointed. The paper introduces the attempt to determine the features of the communicative approach, based on the research and communicative theory of terminology of the Spanish researcher Maria Teresa Cabré. Various interpretations of the «term» phenomenon are considered. The main characteristics and requirements for the «term» are revealed from the standpoint of both linguistic and communicative approaches. The complexity of designating such a phenomenon lies in its versatility. When identifying a «term», we need an approach that takes into account not so much its linguistic characteristics and roots as its philosophical meaning, which seems necessary when solving issues of ontological, epistemological and axiological nature. The communicative dimension is used to identify development vectors with an ever-increasing variability in the meaning of the «term» phenomenon, taking into account the social, cognitive, communicative, and interdisciplinary aspects. A brief digression into terminological activity also gives certain ideas about the significance of the «term» phenomenon.

The purpose of the study is to identify, on the basis of existing research on the subject of the work, the most significant provisions regarding the phenomenon of the «term» in its philosophical meaning through the prism of the communicative approach of Maria Teresa Cabré. Methods. The work uses a number of general scientific and philosophical research methods. The use of the sociolinguistic approach is caused by the fact that the qualitative content of the «term» is directly proportional to the social demand, and the sociolinguistic approach allows you to show the relationship between the linguistic, social, communicative and cognitive components of the «term». The method of definitional analysis is used to describe the characteristics and requirements for the «term» phenomenon. Multiple methods made it possible to apply analytical and interdisciplinary methods. The method of comparative analysis of the literature on the topic is used with the possibility of comparing the studied data. The application of the socio-philosophical method is caused by the differences found in the study of approaches to the «term» phenomenon in the national and western researches. Results. The most common interpretations of the «term» phenomenon are given, according to the linguistic approach, as well as the features of the evolution of the concept of the «term» in the communicative theory of Cabré. The rationale for the versatility of the «term» is presented.
