| Abstract: | The content and distribution of uranium and thorium in the coals of seven Cenozoic brown coal deposits, characterized by different metal content and located in different geological structures of Primorye, have been studied. Coals with high uranium contents and abnormally low thorium-uranium ratio have been found within the Voznesensk terrane at two brown coal and one germanium-coal deposit. It is noted that anomalous uranium accumulations are characteristic mainly of low-ash coal layers and have a hydrogenic genesis associated with the removal of the basin framing from granites. |
