Abstract: | A method for production of novel composite materials based on poly(lactic) acid (PLA) and poly(acrylic) acid (PAA) is described. The developed approach includes non-covalent attachment of a PAA layer to the surface of PLA-based biomaterial. Physicochemical properties of the obtained composite materials were studied by atomic force microscopy, optical goniometry, and termogravimetric analysis. It was shown that the developed modification method allows for the production of PLA-PAA composite materials with various surface morphology and tunable wettability. |
