Abstract: | Gas separation membranes are considered a promising technology due to their compactness, energy efficiency, and scalability. One of the promising types of membranes are Pd based membranes with porous Al2O3 support. Porous supports are considered as highly permeable substrates for thin hydrogen-permeable membranes in the processes of hydrogen extraction and purification, as well as carbon dioxide capture and storage. Typically, porous membranes undergo surface modification. As a result, it is required to study the individual contributions of the porous substrate and surface to the gas permeability. For this purpose, a special permeability unit chamber was developed based on the Gas Reaction Automated Machine (GRAM). |
